The company’s patent pending products and installation methods provide continuous, flexible, and strong structural reinforcement to footings and walls while overcoming the dangers of working with rebar. Wire rope has a greater tensile strength than rebar and yet is sufficiently flexible for “threading” through any modular wall units that have holes, channels, or hollow cores through which wire rope can be placed and continuously connected to a reinforced concrete footing.

The wire rope rests horizontally in specialized chairs in the excavation for a footing. The coiled ends of the wire rope extend vertically from the poured concrete footing and through the hollow cores of the wall units. Once the wire rope is straightened it can be held in place vertically by a specialized clamp connector and underlying wedge pin so that the hollow cores with wire rope can be grouted.

The clamp connector can be used to connect wire rope placed in horizontal openings with vertical sections of wire rope. The clamp connector can also be used to splice overlapping segments of wire rope.

Coiled wire rope is significantly safer to work with than rebar since it can be conveniently stored in the hollow cores as additional courses are laid. Workers can simply pull the coils of wire rope upward as the wall progresses without it interfering with the masonry activities. Building inspectors can easily observe that continuous reinforcement of the wall is provided through the use of wire rope and specialized connectors.
